My ministry experience includes my own awakening in a typical Southern congregation that did not understand the transformative power of Christ's Presence in a teenager's life. As a young convert I began a youth rally on Saturday night, developed teams of youth, and purchased time on a local radio for youth to speak for Christ. I served rural churches as a student minister, led a congregation that was split into numerous factions, developed the Lay Witness Mission that reached thousands of churches in the 60's and 70's, founded The Institute of Church Renewal that developed programs and resources for congregations, taught Church Growth in a denominational seminary for 20 years, trained and equipped candidates for ministry and taught doctoral courses to ministers eager to be effective leaders, and I also developed a Certificate in Spiritual Formation and a Doctorate in Christian Spirituality.

All these experiences provide me with the insights that I believe would enable me to be helpful to a local congregation. You do not have a question or a problem that I have not heard and dealt with. In addition to my own experiences, I have a group of leaders who will add their wisdom to mine as we seek to help you deal with your problem.
